1986 Camaro, no-op 2 years, fixing up
Here's the story
i convinced my old man to get me a 1986 camaro (sports coupe)
but in order for me to have it, i gotta learn bout it, and work on it till it's in running condition, which i dont mind, cause im willing to learn bout it
so here's the rundown of it
1. it's been sittin around for about two years, so what kind of maintenance work i gotta do on it before it can start running properly?
2. it's missing the spark plug wires, and was just wondering how much they'd cost, and are they're easy to install?
3. thinkin bout doin an engine swap later on, it has a 4 spd automatic with a 305, and i would prefer a fuel injected engine, so what engine's could i put into it, that would be compatible with the transmission and still have about 200 hp? (is that even possible with the existing tranny?)
so if anyone can inform me on what i should be expecting i'd appreciate it
and if anyone could give me a detailed walkthrough on how to fix it up, i'd really appreciate it

First, I would change the oil and filter. Next I would get the spark plugs and wires, rotor and distributer caps. Then change the fuel filter. This should get the car running to check every thing out.
The spark plug wires are not that high.

If it has had gas sitting in it for 2 years, you may have to drain the tank.

thanks guys
but i'm kind of new at workin with cars, i know how to do an oil change and stuff, but those are like the very basics
so if any of you guys could tell me how to do any/all of those things, it would help me a lot
