distributor disassembly

Engine: stock 305
Transmission: stock
Axle/Gears: stock
distributor disassembly

how do you get at the pickup coil. its covered by the plastic cap and i can't get it off. do you have to pull the dist to get the cover off. trying to change the pickup coil. it won't let me post the same pics i used in another thread. the pic is about 10 posts down. titled RUSTY DISTRIBUTOR. thanks

Remove the distributor from the engine. Remove the roll pin from the driven gear. Remove the driven gear and distributor shaft. Have your way with the pickup coil.
