rusty distributor

is this a normal looking 108,xxx mile distributor. how do i get the plastic cap off the top. i was having starting issues so i was changing the ignition module(no fuel at injectors) then saw this. i just got the car last week, bone stock it was my wife's mom's she bought new in dec of 91. had wires cap and rotor at 81,xxx. i hate to match a new ign. module with rusty distributor. i guess i need to start pricing distributors. obviously there is corrosion present too. thanks

Re: rusty distributor

The rust doesn't hurt anything.
