Yet another 1.6 ratio rocker question!
I have a low mileage 305 from a monte carlo SS that I am building up for TBI
I will be using World 305SR torker heads.
I would like to use 1.6 ratio rockers. I will be using the Summit stamped steel ones either in regular or roller tipped.
Will I need to use different length push rods? or can I re-use the ones I have in the motor now?

Shouldnt need to, but you may want to check to make sure the pushrod clears the slot ok. The 1.6 ratio moves the end of the pushrod in towards the stud a little.

Re: Yet another 1.6 ratio rocker question!
Very critical:
I put 1.6 Roller rockers on my L-98 (350) and the pushrods kissed the edges of the pushrod holes in the heads. I tried to clearance them a number of times, but got bent pushrods and was fighting problems constantly.
When I pulled the heads off, I found that the valves had been hitting the pistons. This is on an otherwise stock L-98, stock heads, etc. Just beware, the 305 is a shorter stroke, but you might be asking for trouble with stock pistons, so make sure and check valve to piston clearance at the lift that you will have (mock up engine with clay in the piston eyebrows) before you do all this, or parts could get hurt.

if the valves where hitting the pistons it couldnt really be stock
i bet you had other problems than the pushrod slots
