Answer: You just push the gas pedal....

WHat it takes to do it SAFELY? ALOT!

You need to reinforce your bottom end, eithe with 4bolt main or a girdle, you need to reduce the weight of the engine, both rotational (centrifugal) and general weight. When you spin an engine that fast, the internal components dont weigh the same as if youre holding them, so the heavier they are to start, the heavier they get as they spin faster. ie: new pistons, new rods, new lifters, balanced crank and camshaft, lightweight flywheel, good harmonic balancer, roller valvetrain. So ALOT OF ALUMINUM is needed, which means $$$$$. This will help it getup to high revs quicker, and be nicer on the engine at high RPMS.

Your stock fuel flow wont be enough to sustain it at that speed, the ignition will be worth nothing, and all your other rotating components wont keep up and will increase in wear. You need to upgrade ignition so the spark can keep up with the revs, and lower any resistance wherver possible. The waterpump probably wont hold up, and neither will the fuel pump. electric is probably the way to go, or higher quality aftermarket.

Cooling also becomes and issue, at this point because the engine will burn pretty hot.

Thats some of the basic stuff, but the list goes on.....

How are you going to run 8-9k?

well at the very least your going to be needing a billet crank or lightened froged crank(stroke less then 3.48for forged), light weight forged h beam rods and aluminum pistons will get your bottom end, in my eyes were you want to go and the cheapest way.

What about the valvetrain? Prolly also want some titanium retainers and valves. Gotta be aware of valve float. Don't know much about rev kits, but sounds like you'll be needing one.

Re: how am i going to run 8-9000 rpm?????

lets seeee..... i would probably say, some huge intake runners, a massive solid roller, titanium retainers, titanium everything, stiff azz and lightweight springs, light weight roller lifters, shaft rockers, belt drive, lightweight crank, aluminum rods, lightweight pistons, low tension oil rings, a tunnel ram, pair of 650DP's, 14:1 comp, some high octane race gas, dry sump oiling..

that will get you to about 9k
