dumb heater hose question
I'm dropping a TPI 305 in a non-GM off road truck. Couldn't find out where the heater hoses go, then I find one goes directly to the radiator. Since I'm not using the original radiator, would there be a problem with plugging the outlet from the manifold to the intake, or would it cause problems tuning?
If not I could try to unplug the water pump outlet and just circle it to there.

Re: dumb heater hose question
Your heater needs 2 connections: one to take hot water to it, and one to return the cooled water. The hot port must have pressure on it from the pump, the cold port must be on the suction side of the pump.
The hot water needs to come from the intake, no other choice for that.
The cold water can return to the cooling system either into the radiator into the water pump port; both of those are on the suction side. Pick one, block the other. If you don't have a port in the rad, you pretty much have to use the one in the pump.

Hard to say not seeing it but give it a try and see if it works. At worst, it may overheat and you can shut it off before it gets too hot.

I'm not going to have a heater in this. Basically I just want/need to know if not having hot waterrun through the throttle body will cause problems.
Probably should have mentioned that earlier.
