Need help picking an intake manifold (carb)

Well heres the scoop I have a Chevy 4x4 350 pickup that needs the grunt, Shes lifted 6" with 35s. Yeah...it NEEDS torque. So singleplane is out of the question, (im selling the old Victor JR BTW ). Using a 780 vacuum secondary Holley and Long Tubes. Stock bottom end and an undetermined cam but I like this one CS XE256H-10 Duration at .050 212 int./218 exh. Lift 0.447 int./0.454 exh.

Re: Need help picking an intake manifold (carb)

I voted for the Weiand Stealth, and I'll explain why. Do you run power brakes? If you do, you'll play hell trying to hook up the vacuum line using an Edelbrock intake with a Holley carb. Holley carbs stick out in the back enough to cover up the vacuum port location on the intake runner with the Edelbrock intake. It works fine with an Edelbrock carb, and that's probably why those jerks put it where they did. You couldn't pay me to run an Edelbrock carb though, they're a joke. You shouldn't sacrifice any low end torque with the Stealth intake, and it'll work great with your Holley carb.

Performer or Action +. Not enough cam to justify a Stealth or RPM.

And not in a 3rd gen, the only reason I don't delete is if someone actually does a search someday and wants to know what intake to run for low-end grunt or with an XE256 cam, they'll see that they don't want a Stealth or RPM.
