rocker stud pulling out or lifter??
well I installed 1.6 rr's about 3 months ago. Ever since I have had to tighten one stud (the same one every time) 3 times. The poly lock doesnt get loose, it just gets slack in the whole thing. I still have stock L98 heads with stock press in studs.
Im scared this thing might fly off or somthing, I dont know if it could be the stud or the lifter??? any input?

If the stud was pulling out it should be noticeably higher than the others by now.

Did you check and see if that stud is higher? Pulling the valve cover is easy. Lay a straight edge over the top of the studs. Heck, the naked eye should see it by now if it is the stud.
Roller cams don't go flat easily, that would be the second guess though. I doubt it's the lifter.

Check the pushrod also, both ends. Sonix, Why would you doubt it's the lifter if all he changed was the rockers? I realize that 1.6's add stress to the studs, but a colapsed hyd. lifter is not out of the question,is it?

All that phrase is, is noob hot-rodder dialect for "my valve train is doing something I can't figure out and I need something I can't see touch taste smell hear or feel to blame it on but Im too civilized and sophisticated to attribute it to evil spirits or the alignment of the stars". Serious people make an effort to rise above superstitions like that one.
If you ever take apart a lifter and look at how one is made, you'll see how they don't "collapse". There's nothing there that can possibly do that.
More likely, the POly-Lock is coming loose. They always do, if you don't know what you're doing and you follow the instructions.
Next time, try adjusting the valves correctly; then instead of putting 1/2 turn or whatever of preload on the lifters, put about 1/8 turn less than that; then tighten the Allen lock screw and the rocker nut TOGETHER using a box-end wrench on the nut and the Allen key. Don't get too carried away doing this though, it tightens them SO TIGHT you can actually break the Poly-Lock in half.
But whatever the cause is, you may be sure that it isn't a "collapsed lifter". Also, see my signature for helpful advice on the correct intellectual approach to troubleshooting an unknown problem.

Exactly, that's why I said I doubt it's the lifter. In not so many words
