I was driving my car home and my engine coolant lite went off so I called my mechanic and he said to put coolant in it and drive it to his house and leave it cause he could not get to it till tomarrow well I did and when i got there the engine had vapors coming out from under the hood and the mchanic was not home so I left the car what did I F&*$ up?how much to fix?

 

hehe I had that happen to me once, when I was replacing much of the cooling system. Left a sensor unplugged heh.

So best case scenario is little to no harm done, or a head gasket blew from overheatin which is common I hear.

How long did you run it for? Obviously the longer it ran without coolant the bigger the problem will be...

 

5 miles speeds up to but not limited to 100 but I filled it with coolant and water(res was full)

 

did you only fill the resovior? or did you fill the radiator also? if just the res then you might have a problem.

 

Yeah, definently fill em both... if that was done, well maybe you just got some hose leak and it's spraying coolant/water on parts. Let's hope so.

 

I filled both but it was leaking pretty good
I'll post offical problem tomarrow after school

 

just a water pump 20 bucks to fix
