Re: Estimated HP ?

are u saying 25 35 hp to the wheels or at the crank i would hope a cam headers full 3 inch header back exhaust system dual snorkle air cleaner and k&n would make more then that at the crank

Re: Estimated HP ?

well i would expect to see more also on a fresh engine but not a 20 year old engine...and i bet it will be at the crank... only one way to find out though take it to a dyno see what you get.

Re: Estimated HP ?

A good exhaust upgrade is known to push 30-40HP by itself. I think you're knocking on the door of 200HP at the crank, assuming everything else is working right, good spark, good fueling etc.

Re: Estimated HP ?

i did my exhaust when i got my car and i would have crapped my self if i got 30-40 hp out of it... seem like that at the time but you know how the butt dyno is... after a couple of days it is back to the same sluggish joke of a engine it was before... now going to a 350 will be a much better performance upgrade...

Re: Estimated HP ?

yeah but you werent the original owner... so the original owner telling you he didnt beat it is worthless that is like me showing you my car and saying all the rubber around the wheel wells is cause the tires are old... plus the car sat for 6 years so... that engine isnt in tip top shape

Re: Estimated HP ?

you might be surprised what that tranny can take especially with the 3.73 gears=less stress on the tranny... no if you put slicks on it then i would worry
