Thoughts on this cam, CR, blah blah

Here's what I have:

stock 350 with mahle flattops
AFR 195 Eliminators
TPiS bigmouth
AS&M runners
Ported plenum (all port matched to each other including heads)
Headman full length 1 5/8 headers
1.6 SS full rollers
quench .039
current compression is 10.25:1

This is what I need answers for.

Just got off the phone with Thunderracing and they want to hook me up with a cam 224/230 .565/.570 112LSA. Sound good?

My current static compression ratio is 10.25:1. Would I see any benefit to straight milling my heads, .030, to get me to a 10.92 SCR?

450hp is my goal.

Input is much appreciated. BTW - I'm staying LTR.

What is the inteded purpose of the car? That is a lot of cam for a daily driver. That is quite a bit of lift with a reasonably low duration... I expect that it would be a good all purpose cam. (solid roller?)

Compression is the best way to add torque to more of the curve and build power. Are you sticking with "pump gas"?

If it is more strip than street then I'd go with what the engine builder is recommending.

That's the duration of a compxe268, but with a longer LSA, and more lift. A lot more lift.
I think it's a rather tame cam, but that's just me. If you want 450HP with long tube runners, I think you might be dreaming in color, but i'm no FI wiz, so don't quote me on that.
That cam will run flat out awesome, it'll be quite streetable, I just don't think you'll hit 450HP.

Yep sticking with pump gas.

The car is mostly a weekend warrior. It see's maybe 2 track days a year. I'm planning on tuning getting me to the hp range I want.

Oh forgot that Comp is grinding in 4 deg. advance into the cam.

I don't like naysayers at all, but you should be a little realistic.
350 with 450hp will not be streetable and run on pump gas let alone survive with a stock bottom end. C/R above 10:1 won't be needed to make 450, it will just give it an appetite for racing gas.
If it's going to be a weekend warrior and you want that much power think forged 350 with power adder (N20, turbo, or S/C) or 383 or 406 N/A.
There's nothing worse than building for horsepower and ending up with something that you can't drive on the street.
If you have Microsoft Excel I can post a spreadsheet of dyno'ed engine combinations to give you an idea of how much cam it will take to make that much HP N/A with a 350.

I'd be interested in seeing that spreadsheet.
Thanks

Here ya go. I had to put it into a DOC file to post it. To get a rough idea about streetability of a combo take the RPM that peak torque occurs and figure 2000 rpm on either side of it for the usable power band. So if peak torque occurs at 4300 the engine will probably start to make usable power around 2300. If the peak torque occurs at 5300, well you can imagine leaving every redlight at 3300.
It is also my OHpinion that the HP and TQ numbers for combos #11 thru #14 are false because they are round numbers . 450hp @ 5500 and 470ftlbs @ 4500 - those numbers just happened to come out too exact as opposed to something like: 431hp @ 5500 and 452ftlbs @ 4000.
Edit: had to convert to html file, load into word and save as MSWORD file.

Actually I think 450HP at the motor is quite doable with your combination. I believe I'm close to that right now with a smaller cam. You need to have the Big Mouth intake ported out. That will be the restriction on your combo. Get it opened up as much as you can.
