rich or lean

I have a 92 firebird with TBI. I have headers, dual exhaust, dual snorkel air breather, K&N filter.

I plan on get a new ecu chip from tbichips.com. and I have read that some prefer there car to run lean. With the mods I have done do I want it rich or lean.

Why do want your car to run lean compared to rich????

Thanks everyone

A properlly running tbi car should constantlly toggle back and forth from rich/lean.Your computer controls that through the info the sensors sends it.The perfect air fuel ratio is 14.1.The chip you plan to buy shoul not change that much or at all.On a carberated car many people like to run rich becauce rich runs cooler and running lean you run hotter.Especially running nos as I do running lean can reck your car I recentlly melted 2 spark plugs down to the threads because my carb was messed up and I ran it lean on the bottle. But as I said your with aplication you dont need to worry about that the computer will do it for you.
