cruise control removal ???

cruise control removal ???
I have done a search but have not found anything talking about removing the cruise control all together. I have an 86 Trans Am 305 4 bbl. I want to remove it all together period. I am not sure exactly how to remove it and still have the speedo work since it has a VSS and not cable driven.anyone know the steps to remove this option from the car with no sideeffects ????
