How much oil does a 86 305 camaro hold? I can't find it anywhere and i don't have the Owner's manual.

Buy 5 quarts. If that doesn't reach the full mark, you have a problem. If it's too much, you'll have some for when you need to top it up or the next oil change you won't need to buy as much.

"To the full mark" is only good when you have a factory pan. I have a 7 quart pan on my engine and the full mark is too high. 6 quarts in the pan keeps the level below the baffle and away from the crank. I just cut my dipstick tube down so that the full mark on the dipstick reaches down to where I want the oil level.
