Yes it's a roller cam, if it's center bolt valve covers, it's roller (just in case someone's swapped it before you got the car). A roller cam is a superior camshaft, the price is higher for them but it about balances out because you can reuse your factory lifters.

It has a throttle body on it.It had ground effects with a z28 sticker.5 speed car.I was going to put a cam in just wantin a little imput on a cam selection for a street driver

The LT1 cam swap is popular with the TBI cars. It'll require some prom tuning so be sure to do some homework before you re cam the car.

Why pull apart a 305 running 5 speed car to put the small motor in another vehicle? I would just spring for a 350, roller or flat tappet either way and build that (preferably flat tappet, you can make good power cheaper). What are you planning to swap into and what're you doing with the Iroc?

Ok heres whats goin on.I bought a 1976 Camaro in great shape less engine and tranny for my wife. She wanted an older Camaro to drive as a hot rod.Well I get this vortec flat top 350 ready to put together and now she wants to drive it every other day to and from work.WHAT?OK Now I just bought a 1981 Camaro for parts .It has a clear title so I can have my HOT ROD sprayed vortec camaro Ha HA .I bought a 1990 I beleive z28 Camaro that is in great shape runs good very cheap because there is no title. With the trade came a 1986 Camaro v6 car with only 1 fender dented.I was going to take the 305 out of the 1990 and put on a Performer intake with a quadrajet carb, headers ,flow masters etc etc and other things I have lying around the shop and put it in my wifes 1976 Camaro. If it had a flat camshaft I was going to put in a small Summit cam to help the little engine breath a little.OK how bout a lil help Know anyone lookin for parts for a 3rd generation? How much is the t5 tranny worth ? Thanks for the replies

I may be interested in the T5 swap, where do you live? I'de just put a larger roller cam in the car with a decent flowing set of heads (TBI heads suck without port and polish work).
