double hump/461 heads
i found a set for 500 bucks already machined and ported, cut for bigger springs. any way question is, are they worth it? or should i buy a set of vortecs

If you are after cheaper more modern (possibly not worn out) heads the vortecs are a better buy.

How "ported" are they? was it a professional port job by a real porter who knows what he's doing, or some guy in his garage with a die grinder? There is a huge performance difference between the two.

the heads were ported by a local speedshop, i think i forgot to mention they have valves and everything except the springs and associated components.

Those heads won't fit one of these cars, because they don't have the accessory bolt holes.
You can't use them. They would be the wrong choice, even if they were free.
