This means you have wider tires on the front than you do on the back.

What I would put on your car are either 235/55/16 or 245/50/16 which is what I have. If you dont want to spend money on new tires just switch them around. And remember there are front and rear RIMS. you cant just rotate them.

That doesn't mean he has wider tires in the front!
It means they are the same width and the rears are a little taller than the fronts!
Those tires are a bit skinny for 16 x 8 rims I think 245/50/16s are stock 225/55s and 225/60s are usually used on a 15x7 rim

DO NOT SWITCH THE TIRES AROUND
you will have a taller tire in the front and shorter in the rear, that would look dumb

225/50's are on Most Grand Am GT's 225/60's are on most Impala's and Grand Prixs. your car most definatly stock with 16's should have a 235/55/16 unless you have the 8 inch rim. Then the 245/50.

Car: 91 & 88 GTA, 89 Formy, 89 bird
Engine: 3 - 350 TPI, 305 TBI
Transmission: All 700R4's
Axle/Gears: unknown
the difference between a 225/55 and a 225/60 is not enough to worry about. The correct factory size is the 225/55. You can go up to a 245/50, but you may encounter the inside of the tire rubbing on the wheel well in tight corners. There is no advantage of thinner tires in the front and wider in the back on your vehicle! Your 91 was designed to handle in corners as well as in a straight line. The rims are a different offset between front and rear, this used in combination with a directional tread design makes tire rotation impossible. Hope this helps
