IROC's been sitting for months...now fuel pump bad?
My IROCs been off the road for a couple of years till I get more time to work on it and get it to the paint shop. I usually start it every few months and let it run. It had been taking longer and longer to start over the past 6 months to a year. This time, though I can't start it at all.
My fuel pump is not running when I push the key forward..just clicks of the relay, and I know it's getting spark. I'm going to check the typical things tomorrow (relays, fuses, pressure, etc).
The car has been sitting in my garage for 2.5 years with the same gas...although I start and run it several times a year, could I have killed my pump from gummed up gas, etc?

I think the pump is bad.
12V to G terminal on ALDL...no good.
Jumped Orange 12V and Tan Fuel pump wire at relay...just hear clicks from other relays...no pump.
Any other ideas? The only other thing I can think of is to send 12V directly to tan wire at the FP harness near the gas tank.
Any recommendations on a fuel pump? The car is a 5.7L TPI now but some day I may go to a stroker, blower, etc so I might as well get something that will support power down the road.

I'm going to try banging on the gas tank to see if I can unstick the pump. I also read somewhere to try to run the pump in reverse for a few seconds by switching the leads. Any thoughts on this?
