Oil Pressure Gauge PEGGED!?!?
I went to prime the oil pump again after the new motor been sitting a while and hasn't competly broken in yet. I pulled the passenger side valve cover and I cannot see any oil squirting anywhere in there??!!
Went to look at the aguge and as soon as I hit the key it went to as far rigth as it can go, well beyond 60 PSI. When it was first primed a week or so ago everything was fine. It read 30-45 PSI depending on the drills RPM.
Anyone have any ideas whats up??

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Pegged = wire disconnected or broken, sending unit open
Zero = wire or sending unit shorted
Basically the same discipline as an idiot light sender; short to ground = low pressure - light on, open = high pressure = light off.
Alligator-clip-lead the wire to ground, see if the gauge goes to zero. If it does, the gauge and wiring are good, and you need a sender.

Well, something is defenitly wring (of course...look who it is). The gauge when I hit the kill switch a couple times wasn't pegged anymore but it looked like it would be reading the correct oil pressure EXCEPT it was kind of bouncing back and forth slightly.
I was concerned about not getting oil through the pushrods...
