Hydra-Rev kits, are they necessary???

Well, I was just curious about it because I will be running a hydraulic roller camshaft with my new engine combo. I was browsing through the AFR site and found that they make them. I understand the theory behind why you'd need to use them, but are they really necessary on a street engine? I don't plan on running it up past say 6200 RPM, but would this be like having some added insurance? Here is the info...

6200 RPM you shouldn't need them. Normally when your lifters pump up at 6500RPM + your power level starts to drop off, with the rev kit it puts springs on the lifters to prevent that, so power keeps going up. (Assuming cam and springs can handle it.)

You don't need it.

Well, that's what I thought, but wasn't sure. I don't know what it is with me, I have a problem spinning V8 engines up past 6000 RPM. Get me in some dinky little import though, and I'll crack it all the way up. Who knows, maybe it is just a part of my subconscience trying to blow that b!tch apart
