Valve cover question
Has anyone used teh Summit tall fabricated aluminum centerbolt valve covers on an 87 F-body with a/c? If so,
how do they fit? They look to me as if they would hit teh a/c....if you have pics, that would be great!

those are gonna be a pretty darn tight fit!i was using the chrome standard pattern tall covers about 4" tall on the last motor and the power brake drum was the big obsacle.
neither side was real easy to get off,but the real problem was getting them back on with a gasket attached!
i like to stick the gasket to the valve cover, grease the other side lightly, and be able to pull the gasket and cover and re-use the gasket.this was next to impossible with the tall covers!i'd say it could be done if you are really patient, and like solving puzzles!
unless you are running stud girdles, the so-called "tall" aluminum valve covers advertised on ebay and such should clear poly locks and whatever.
i really like the looks of the fabbed covers, but i think standard steering and no a/c would be a lot easier to deal with using these covers.
let us know how it turns out if you decide to use them!

Thanks Eric....Yeah, it looks tight as a funeral drum, but I got them from a guy with a L98 "Vette, I could be wrong,
but wouldn't teh vette be a tighter fit?
