I've been searching for one on my 87 roller roller motor and the only one I found is from Mr Gasket and the chrome plating makes it 0.008 larger diameter than the hole in the block!!!
The side the stick goes in IS the correct size (I don't know what they did)
Been sanding on it for a bit now and got it down to about .003 oversize and still won't go in.
The earlier sticks are shorter overall so look for the right one or measure it to see if it will work. Jyard is looking better to me than the aftermarket stuff.

This is getting to the point where I just want to sell this damn car. How the **** dont you make a dipstick for a damn 1990 305.........cannot even find a chrome one. I found this POS and it looks too small, looks like it would go too far into the block. or whatever the hell it goes in.

That IS the correct one
Don't know why its labeled those years. It does go into the block about 4".
The older ones are about 8" shorter IIRC.

local speed race shop is like 45 mins away because Maryland is gay and I am just fed up with the car being on stands for 4 weeks. So this one will work for me and give me accurate oil readings?
