Good old oil pan
Well guys I am getting tired of looking under the car and seeing a slow oil leak. My stock pan has rusted to the point where oil is slowly bleeding through. I have no race car by any means so would a stock replacement from Moroso be ok from Summit for like $100?
Also is he is what is really important to me, what is involved in changing an oil pan in our cars and how hard is it really? Besides the oil pan gasket, what other things will I need to tackle this?
Thanks very much for any help you can give me, I just wanna do my thirdgen right.

You'll need to remove the motor mount bolts and jack the motor up slightly to get the old pan out and the new one in. I (carefully) jacked on the harmonic balancer when I was fooling with mine. You may also need to loosen or remove the timing cover bolts - I don't remember if I had to or not. If you do, drop in a double roller chain while your there!
$100 for a pan? Wow - I paid less for an entire 350 4 bolt virgin block. What about a pan from the boneyard? Any SBC v8 pan with the dipstick on the same side should fit. Save the cash for something that anyone would actually see! (Or something that makes a difference, like a double roller chain)
And, everyone tells me not to use chrome, that chrome everything leaks badly - again why dress something no one sees.

Ok thats cool and do I have to modify anything to run a double roller timing chain or will it just fit right in?

It just fits in - it's just a stronger timing chain that has less tendancy to stretch - as they all do over time. Any auto parts store should carry them, and it's easy to do.
