Starter size help

Just swaped a 305 w/700r4 to a 400 w/700r4 and was wondering if the starter would work on acount of the diff flywheel ive heard yes and ive heard no so i was wondering before i tryed anything what the corect awnser is.

Engine: SLOW carbed ls
Transmission: TH400 with brake, 8" PTC converter
Axle/Gears: moser 9" 4.11
depends which flywheel is on the car. is it bigger or smaller than your 305 stock one? That would give you the answer you're looking for.

its bigger then the 305 one and i would assume that i could use it but thats why im asking
