Is the thread size really an issue at Summit? All you need is a plain old AC GF481 filter. If it really matters, it has a 5/8-18 thread for the flared line.

so im not likely to see any improvement with a more expensive fuel filter with a replaceable element? i have a 255 lph granatelli fuel pump, 24lb injectors and 48 psi fuel pressure.

just head down to autozone and get the delco part?

pardon the blasphemy, advance auto i meant.

You'll be fine with the stock replacement filter at your power level.

are the nice race ones from summit for 600+ hp motors only? mines ~375 at the wheels without spray, need to step up to some 30 lb injectors.

The bottleneck of the fuel system is the fuel lines, they will be too small waaaay before you reach the limit of the filter. I would be considering an upgrade, my 430hp motor sucked the stock rubber lines shut. Luckily I have a wideband 02 so I saw it go lean. That's when I made a new pickup in the tank and ran -8an from the pump to the engine.

There are sections of rubber at the tank and in the engine compartment.
