proximity of fuel line and alternator

Since i installed my 1 wire alternator, the location of the battery connection on it and my rubber fuel line running to my dual feed carb line are within like an inch.

can someone tell me if this is ok?

As long as there's no metal on your fuel line that could short out against the alternator stud.

no there isn't any metal till a little further up where it goes into the dual feed setup. the part that runs right by the the alternator stud is all rubber.
