How many teeth on my flywheel?
I'm looking to get a high-torque mini starter (200 ft. lb.), but I don't know how many teeth my flywheel has.

Some mini starters have an aluminum adapter block to accept either the 168 or 153 flywheels. Straight across bolt pattern only.
A similar starter is seen in the following post.

This good post also contains information concerning the straight and staggered bolt patterns on the starters. If you know what bolt pattern is on your current starter is, then it may (or may not) tell you what your flywheel situation is.
If you still can't figure it out from there, get under the car and start counting.

i'm pretty sure that all thirdgens are 153 tooth flywheels and flexplates. i tried to run a 163 tooth and i couldnt seal a header because it was hitting the stock sized starter.
if thats not clear, you can go here:

If you can't count, but can use a tape measure,
12.75" diameter = 153 teeth
14.00" diameter = 168 teeth
12.75" diameter = 153 teeth
14.00" diameter = 168 teeth
