Just for reference you can go straight from where the hardlines end, get a $5 converter to take it to -6AN, then go straight to the HSR fuel rails. Its much easier, but maybe its not the look you want?

If you want to cut your fuel rails, get the tool from autozone (free to rent) and flare them yourself. I'm not sure where you can get the fittings you need, but summit has nearly everything. Good luck!

The flare tools you rent are usually for 45 degree SAE flares. To do AN fittings you'll need a 37 degree flare too, which is a bit harder to find.

i know i cant adapt straight from the hard lines...i already have all the fittings for that but while im at it and putting so much into this motor i want to make it look as best as i can and cutting the lines looks MUCH cleaner.

im going to flare them my self but i need to know what flares to use (what tool to rent/buy)

i have the adapters to go from the stock 14mm and 16mm fittings to -6AN so basically i need to flare the lines just like from the factory but down on the frame rails.

Oh good idea, maybe I'll try that. Is stock size SAE (I can't recall) ? If so then that 45* flare tool should work.

http://www.autozone.com/in_our_store...ing/tubing.htm

The question is if 45* works with the stock threaded lines.

The stock flares arent 45's, but if you are cutting things up you should probably forget about the factory arrangement and collect the fittings and hose you need and replace it all.

He has all the fittings and hose he needs, he just needs to reflare the lines up further then use the stock fittings.

i have a double flaring tool but are we sure the stock flares are 45 degrees or are they 90?

heres a pic i snapped at the stock flares (ive already cut off the hard vent line )
its a little blurry but you can see it doesnt make a "v" at the top but more like a "t"

stock is singinaw (sp?) flare. the only "tool" that you can get for that is the gm j-tool or see your mac dealer for the flaring tool kit. (it's the same one the dealer has- well some dealers) any way it is the hydrolic hand pump one works great for what you are doing

what i did was I bought the an pipe ends and I belive the 45 deg is what I used (can't remember)

as for the factory ends If you must have them. you can go to auto zone and get the pre flared pipe

ok well i might go that route and get rid of the factory sagniaw ends altogether.

what fitting would i need to connect my -6AN hose ends to the hard lines on the frame rails? i looked at jegs and summit but couldnt find what im looking for (since i dont exactly know what it is im looking for).
