Fiberglass Front End???

I was looking at the JC Whitney site and they sell the complete fiberglass front end for camaros. But it says 82-84, what would be the problem with putting it on my car. And would it really be worth the $600 for the saved weight when there are other mods I could make. How much weight would be saved. Then there would be the cost of painting it, which I should just get the whole car painted then.

The year range is just the early style. It'll work on all third gens. Harwood sells a fiberglass front end based on the 92 style.

I was looking at some stuff from American Sports Car Design, and they said the same thing, that it fit an 82-84. I emailed them about it, and they said there were some small differences in the bodies, but that they'd be very little effort on the part of the shop installing them.

I have an entire front clip from an '84 on my 1986 (with the correct '86 bumper), and it all fit up. I believe you might not be able to use your existing "steel" bumper, though, with a flip-up front end.

dont forget that those glass front ends are NOT a bolt on, you must custom make brakets to mount them and also no really the best idea on the street eather, even if you nailed a *****, the ***** would win, fiberglass will shatter on even a light impact
