my new 92 Z have some issues help

Hey guys!
how ya doin? I have a few Q's
Okay my shift indicator light doesn't work, a fuse or a bulb do you think? also my climate control guages aren't illuminated, again... bulb or fuse?
also my cruise is posessed! sometimes it comes on, sometimes it doesn't... is this the infamous cruise switch problem?
also the shifter feels very loose and doesn't shift nicely, you have to jam the button down to shift it and it's a pain in the *** ! aftermarket? hehe.

okay and also my fog light switch was getting very hot! now all of a sudden they don't work (stock ones) fuse or bulb or what do you guys think?
I want to replace the Z28 badges in rocker panels with silver ones, where could I get this? I also need "5.7 tuned port injection' badge all in silver.

OHHH and one more thing that's boggleing me about this car! It has a sensor in the dash that automatically turns headlights on... this isn't stock is it? it's cool but i think it's an aftermaket thing by previous owner.

OHHH and my guages go to 180 km/h which is weak! it hoguht stock they should be 245 km/h (145 mph) ?

be thankful the shift light doesn't work pain in the a$$... all I can answer for you is that sensor in the dash must be factory for your lights because I have one and I know many more with it aswell...

no not the shift light... sorry for bad wording... it's an auto.... well the thing that says "P R N D D 2 1" ya know what i mean? i think it may be a bulb.
that's cool to know it's a stock thing on my car... I love stock, especially since my car's a bit rare (polo green metallic) etc.

Oh and my car is a dual catalytic converter right? just wondering cuz i want to order a new exhaust (hooker aerochamber if I can)

man i LOVE myc aR! Wanted one since i was 15 years old!

as for the 110mph speedo, the Z28's that had that one did not come with z-rated tires form the factory, and they hadf a 110mph speed limiter. These were 305 automatics only. the 305 5-speeds and the 350's both had 145mph speedos. One exception are the convertables. They all had the 110mph and the governor. hope this answers your question.

okay i'm pretty sure my car is a 350 TPI... the vin has an '8' as the 8th digit... and it definitely Sounds like a 350 TPI!
the only thing the guy said is that the car was broken into once about four years ago.... so maybe they swapped speedo clusters? anyways, not really a big deal I can find a 145 if i really need to.

thanks again

Your automatic headlight problem may be your Daytime Running Lights. I assume you have a Canadian model car. Anyway, just pull the fuse out and the lights should go back to manual.

the fog lights don't work now. the switch was getting very hot and now they just don't turn on... the green light on the little switch doesn't illuminate either. is there a fuse for the fog lights?

You can get new badges from Classic Industries, all except the IROC-Z rear bumper cover badge-no longer available.
