350 L82 heads on a 305????
First off I have a 89 305 RS. I am converting to TPI(86 TPI unit) and have found these heads in my barn. will they fit my block and intake?? i know that I would have to round out a couple of the intake bolt holes to make them fit to my 89 heads.

L82 heads are 76cc IIRC. Very bad match for a 305, you'd end up with compression in like the low 8s.
What casting?

Thanks for the help and yes i know they are 76cc but i can have them milled down to 58cc because I have no intentions of running any power adders. i have already spoke to the local speed shop and they said they could mill them down for about $125 which is not bad at all.

I'm not so sure you'd want to mill that much from the heads, you may run into valve shrouding problems. Also the heat generated from that much metal removal can warp the heads if the belt speed isn't slow enough, and it will be very hard to hold the heads level on the surfacer to remove that much, so you may end up with more cc on one end than the other.
