car wont start!!!!! help....
I have an 87z28,lg4, 700r4. The other day i was on my way home, and i came to a stop and the car just died, and wouldnt turn over. We get power to the coil, but we dont have any spark, we replaced the dist. cap, coil, modular, we tried a different coil wire, and still no spark. Also when you try to start it some gas squirts out the carb, is that supposed to happen or is there somethign wrong here?

Since the carb is spitting I would start by checking to see if the timing chain skipped a tooth or snapped. Line up the timing mark at TDC and make sure the rotor points to 1cyl. This might take two attempts because you can be 810deg off unless you remove the 1plug. If it is way off you may have skipped a tooth. Good luck.

I took the dist. cap off and tried to start it to see if it was turning, and nothing was moving, so i guess we need a new timming chain than? do i need the gears also? or would it be a good idea to get one while its apart, also do i have to drop the oil pan? or take out the radiotor?
