removing the throttle body, and plenum

To remove these things, do i just unbolt it and take it off, or are there snesors and all this other stuff that can get messed up big time??? i want to polish the plenum and maybe the throttle body and whatever else i can.

Thanks for your help.

Taking that stuff off is pretty self-explanatory and you really can't mess anything up. The only thing you need to be careful of is with the vacuum lines attached to the TB. Make sure you don't break one or forget to unplug one, as they are pretty brittle after 10 years of use. Also don't forget to unplug the IAT sensor on the underside of the plenum.

If you are going to take the plenum and runners off, you might as well port the plenum and pickup some power. There is a technical article on this site that tells you all about porting the plenum and my website has a shot of the front of the plenum with the TB off after porting it. You might want to upgrade the runners while they are off as well. SLP siamesed runners are going for pretty cheap. Heck, you almost have the heads off at that point... you can pick up some AFRs or Trick Flows and.. and........ ahhhh.. nevermind.
