I lost TCC lock-up... why?
I've had it just'unlock' on me while I'm crusing, but then it'll lock up again... well now after a TV cable reset (holy crap, I'm driving a new car) and a computer reset, I've lost it all together. How come?
I know the fluid is burnt, brown and gritty, and will need to be completely rebuilt relativly soon, but should that cause my TCC to die? perhaps my CTS is on it's way out?
(in a way it's nice driving it this way, because when I step on it, it's immediate get-up-and-go, whereas before I had to wait until the TCC would unlock.)
So what are some suggestions?

C'mon, spin 'em for papa...

The solenoid went bad, the wiring went bad, or the ECM/it's driver went bad.
-Put a paperclip in the ALDL between terminals A and F (top right and left corners) and drive it. The TCC should lock as soon as it shifts to second giving you a big bog. If so, the problem is the ECM isn't trying to turn it on.
-Verify 12V at the connector on the tranny (consult manual for which is the TCC + wire) If no power, either the wire is broken, the fuse is bad, or the brake switch is bad.
-otherwise, you're replacing the TCC. You'll have to remove the old one to get the PN you need to order as there are a bunch of different tranny wiring styles.

- Definitely prototypes, high powered mutants of some kind. Too weird to live, too cool to die
