missing on one cylinder and hard to start ??????
i was out driving today and i was merging into traffic and floored it, and as i started accelerating, half way through the car started shaking and i noticed i was missing on one cylinder ..... i have no clue what happened, it fealt kind of like one of the plugs just flooded out, so i went where i was heading and parked and came out a few hours later, and went to start it and she wouldnt start, just kept cranking and cranking and nothing, so i started pressing the gas and she eventually started, but once it started it was still missing.
its dumping gas out the exhaust bad as well. I just replaced my fuel pump myabe a month ago. I have no clue whats causing this so any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Ok, more information after today.
The oil smelled really bad of gas and one of the lifters was squeaking really bad, and it seems that the lifter that was squeaking went to the cylinder that is missing. I did an oil change, plugs, wires, cap, and rotor, but still getting the miss, though the squeak is now gone. The oddest part to me is that i have to now hit the gas in order to get it to start. Any insight would be helpful at this point, i really need to get it running by tomorrow morning if i can at all.
Thanks again.
