Has anyone built a 388 w/3.80 crank?

I guess a 350 block is used?, but what size rods and pistons? can you use 6" rods?? It is 5 more cubes than the 383.

Thanks!
Dave

6" rods shouldn't be a problem, just make sure you buy pistons made for 6" rods and not the more common 5.7, and bring lots of money.

I though a 383 was a 350 .030 over adn a 400 crank (and the rest)
and a 388 was the same but 350 .060 over.

am I wrong

Gimme a yes or no or explain if im close??

If you did make a 388 which is .030 over what if you bored it to .060, would that be a 393??
I think your right about the .060 over 383 being 388.

Which would make more power/torque:
3.75 + .060 = 388
or
3.80 + .030 = 388
