2 bolt main to 4 bolt main
recently, well a while back, i was dumb of buying a 350 2 bolt main from the salvage. It has flat tappet cam, and the rest. It came from a '92 Chevy truck. I was really stupid because there was a 4 bolt main 350 for less in the shop, 2 weeks later and not knowing.
Now I have a 2 bolt main block in my garage.
I have a crazy idea that a 2 bolt main can be converted to a 4 bolt main. If i am true than how is it possible?

Manuel,
Yes, you can convert to a four-bolt main on the three center caps. Aftermarket cap kits are available. You'll have to drill and tap the outer bolt holes. You'll also have to mill the caps to the correct depth, and align bore the case after the caps are installed.
The kits are available for a couple hundred bucks.

Yes, you could do that but its not worth the effort. 6 extra bolts dont give you any hp and in 90% of the applications 4 bolt main blocks are unnessasary. There are sevral aftermarket 2 bolt main caps that are stronger than the 4bolt caps on a 350 and alot easyer to install than drilling and taping 6 holes.

You can order all the parts from summit for either.
