300 HP at the rear wheels?

Is it possible to get 300 rwhp from a stock L98? What would I have to do to the stock heads? What cam setup would I want? Be as descriptive as possible as I'm going to do this myself (except for the machining of the heads) and need to know all the parts it'll take to do the job. Keep in mind, this is strictly a daily driver and I want low end power or a flat power curve...as close to this as possible anyway. Why do I want 300 hp from a daily driver? Well, I just want to know it's there.

There are actually more variables to this. I intend to gasket match the stock intake to stock runners to a ported plenum to get rid of the obstructions open it up. I need headers, and I'm thinking SLP 1 3/4. Lastly, it's not in my sig, but I have a GM performance PROM as well. Ok, there you go. Lead me, o thirdgen brethren!

it's certainly possible, but difficult. Look at the lingenfelter combinations. They made 440 hp but used a superram to do it. 350s made about 400hp. The limit for a tpi based 350 is in the 380 to 390 range. Get a set of vette heads and have them cnced. Then get a custom grind cam that is matched to the airflow of the heads. Better use some large tube runners. Get the TPIS book insider hints for TPI. Many build ups and combinations listed

I've got a set of 083 heads that came off of my 87 and they are ported. They are also in the celler gathering dust. The best RWHP I got with these heads and a mild cam was 265 RWHP. Bumping up the cam from a 212* @.050 intake to 219* @ .050 and using a set of Edelbrock 6085's got me 314 RWHP. I wouldn't suggest porting the heads unless you are doing it yourself. Save the $$ for aftermarket heads.

I made 280 RWHP and 380 RWTQ using Corvette L98 heads and a stock ported TPI intake with a ZZ4 cam and SLP 1 5/8" headers. I dont know if it can be done with iron L98 heads.
