Starting a motor after it sitting for six months

Starting a motor after it sitting for six months

i'm getting ready to drop in a 350 TPI in my 305 TBI bird.what precausions should i take to make sure the 350 starts up smoothly?

After it's been sitting that long;
Pull the dist. and pre-oil it!

I've stored mine every winter for the last 11 years for 6 months at a time. It starts right up.

That's right. I treat the gas beforehand; pull the battery out. It starts like I'd left it the day before.
