New Crate Motor Vs Used LT1, what to choose?

I've decided the LB9 has got to go, I've thought about getting an L98 but after ripping the plenum of my car twice this month(replaced EGR then had to replace the injectors)i've decided against TPI. I 've thought about getting a used LT1 but I am not sure what is involved in the swap. I know I'll need a new harness plus the computer but what else will need to be replaced? Then there is the crate motor option, cost is a factor here. Not sure what type of injection system is utilized in most of these crate motors. The LT1 appeals to me because they can be had at a resonable price. Is the swap extremely difficult? Will my 700R4 work with this engine? A good used LT1 can be had for about 2500 bux in these parts(includes computer and harness), what kind of Crate motor can be bought for roughly $2500.00. Will it be as powerful as the LT1?

Well when you buy used you might be buying someone elses problems. If you get an LT1 you will have to wire the sucker in and it will work with the 700r4, not sure about the TV cable though. Rather than a crate motor go find a good core and have it rebuilt it will save you cash. On another note you can make more power with a stock LT1 intake than any TPI.

You can get an LT1 for a lot less than $2500. At Carlisle I saw LT1/6-speed combos for that much.

The LT1 swap has been discussed very thoroughly on the motor swap board. I believe at least 2 posts were near 100 replies. Why don't you search that board for info?
