Rusty heads, prob not a good idea to buy or use?

found some 350 vortecs, complete w/ valve covers, but they have surface rust everywhere.

worth the trouble? can you even use or want to use rusty heads?

Drew

$500

Aren't new Vortecs about 500?

Anyway, most machine shops have a beading machine....bombards the heads with some kind of shot...cleans'em up like new.

Most rust can be removed easily by drenching it in wd-40, letting it sit and lightly scrub off with some fine steel wool (like 00).
