Max lift with AFR heads?

...does anyone know the most lift AFR 190 heads can handle (out of the box from AFR)....I'm gonna do a cam swap...thinking about the GM847 or a little bigger and think I might have to swap springs.

Thanks! 350Z

your heads more than likely have come with the 8020 1.450 springs.

1.450" OD Hydraulic Dual Valve Spring, 120 lbs. on seat, .550" maximum lift, AFR #8020

i wouldn't recommend running those springs with an 847.

...thanks man....will any valve spring for sb chevy work or do these heads require anything special....I'll prolly order them off of Summit and experience tells me to know EXACTLY what you want prior to ordering parts off them .....and they got allota springs.
