FireBird oil leak from hell
Hey guys, i just traded my rusty pos camaro for a 1990 firebird 3.1 v6.. it is leaking badly from the timing cover gasket.. is there any way to fix it with out lifting the engine.. the car needs 2 motor mounts.. tranny mounts and probably an oil pan also.. maybe even something in the tranny it hesistates like a bitch.. I am also gettin code 43 which is the knock sensor.. can that cause almost like a slipping when i punch it. what is the easiest way to fix these problems? any help ASAP is great thanks guys.

The 3.1 liter engines, and the other iterations of it before and after, were notorious oil leakers. Every available gasket surface.....
Sounds like you have to lift the engine anyway, as you are doing mounts, oil pan, etc. My take on it would be to get ALL the gaskets you are going to want to replace, and do it all at once. Much easier than doing some of the same work twice.
Address your other problems one at a time. Though the tranny slipping does not bode well.
