Aluminum GM fast burn heads, 62cc
214/224@.050" cam, .471/.496 lift (1.6RR)
10.0:1 compression
Mercursier dual plane EFI manifold with DFI wideband
long tube headers and other supporting mods
stock 350 vette shortblock, with ARP main and rod bolts, double roller, 7qt pan etc
My main question is about the cam, does anyone run something similiar? If so how is the idle quality, and power range. I tried to keep it rather conservative, because I would like to drive the car daily in the nice weather...
As far as timing goes what would be a good starting point with 93 octane? thanks.

Car: 87 Pontiac Firebird Formula
Engine: 355 SBC-Thats all I can say or they will break my legs.
Transmission: 5 Speed
I usually start at 8`btdc, then go from there. Every car is going to be a bit different. You gotta go with what works best with your combo. I would think you could run 14`intial, and 36-38 total on that, especially with 93 octane

Car: 82 Z28
Engine: Al LT1 headed LG4 305
Transmission: TH350
Axle/Gears: 3.73 posi with spacer
Run about 32* total with those heads. They have a fastburn chamber that doesn't need much timing advance at all. Also try 12* initial.
