Using Newer Style A/C Compressor?

I was wondering if there is someway to use a japanese style A/C compressor on our cars? Japanese cars have always had colder A/C than American cars and the Harrison style compressors are not very efficent designs. Vintage air kits use japanese style compressors and was curious if there is some kit or way to put one a third gen camaro, mine is a IROC-Z, 350 TPI. If anyone knows anything about this possible conversion please let me know. Thanks, Jeff

Poor college student(donations welcome ;0) with an all stock 1988 5.7L IROC-Z Hardtop, Auto. trans, white ext. w/gold accents (soon to be silver), black custom cloth interior, 4-wheel discs and G92 pkg. Car is dead stock. Has only standard Z28 power options and all the IROC performance stuff you could get. No pwr. seats, mirrors, or rear defrost.

Best run: 1/4 14.90 @ 92.7 MPH
