Sulfer smell at WOT???????????????????????

About 2 months ago I put on new headers and a Catco cat. A few weeks ago I put in new msd plug wires and an msd coil. Since the header install i've driven like 300 miles which mostly came in these last two weeks (after the plug wire and coil were installed). I stareted to smell sulfer whenever I am at WOT. The smell comes strongly into the car, almost immediately after I put the pedal all the way down. Driving normally I dont smell it (maybe lightlty once??). Like i said after the header install I didnt drive much and I can't remember if the sulfur smell was around or not. But I can say for sure after my wire and coil install, the day after and since, when I am at wot I smell it. As far as I know my Car runs normal compared to before those mods. Its an 87 Iroc l98 mods below.

Also today I recorded the run I did on my auto xray scanner if that helps. I dont understand what any of the readings mean but I thought maybe it could help find my problem.

Sulfer smell usually has something to do with the battery.

Generally a strong smell of "rotten eggs" indicates something wrong with the catalytic converter. The other possibility is the gas you are using has a high sulphur content.

Bad cat causes large exhaust restriction which doesn't allow the cylinder to evacuate well, but the same amount of fuel is dumped in causing a rich condition which is where the sulfur or rotten egg smell is coming from. You need new exhaust, or you overfueling at WOT.

I hope not. Like I said above the cat and headers only have 300 miles on them and I am running a Borla cat back with no plate which is pretty new also. Maybe its a bad cat I got? How can I tell if Im overfueling? Can any of this be seen with my auto xray scanner? I did record a run and it said RICH the whole time I was at WOT. Anyting else to look at? Thanks

Hey I had a catco cat put on my car and had the same smell. It was the new cat being broken in. Just give it time and it will go away. I cant remember how long it took mine but it did eventually go away.

I vote that it will go away too. I had a new cat a while back and got a rotten egg smell. It went away with time though.

thats good to hear. I just got worried that something like my converter was bad and I didnt want to have to cut up my new exhaust to replace the it. Thanks
