comp cams pro mag lifter ?

I just installed a set of pro magnum hydralic lifters and with them was a paper that said to adjust them with .002-.005 clearance at valve stem. Goes on to say to adjust these like solid lifters.

wont this make them chatter? and why do they say to adjust them this way instead of like a normal hydraulic lifter?

I think it means to preload them .002"-.004" after zero lash. Try a 1/2 a turn after zero lash.

.002"-.004" of preload is around 1/16 of a turn pass zero lash.
