Can I edit CODE 32 out of my system?
Well guys-
I've spend $400 trying to fix my EGR, and I still get an SES light when I get up to highway speeds...
The low-end bog has been fixed, and the car actually seems to run alot better and stronger with the new computer, so I guess I got something out of it.
I now want to look into getting Code 32 out of my computer system....I don't want to see that Service Engine Soon light on anymore..
Can someone tell me how to go about doing this? or if it's even possible?
Would there be any negative effects?
Is it possible just to disable the SES light altogether? like, maybe just unplug the damn thing?
Thanks guys

If you want to disable the light look in a hanyes or chiltion manual and find the wiring diagrams for output wire to the SES light from your computer and unplug it. On my S-10 it was a brown and white wire if that helps any.

How do I "edit" it out of my PROM?
Again, will this cause any negative side effects?
Thanks~

Do you have headers on your car? If so, try a heated O2 sensor. This will correct for a code 32 being set when highway cruise speed has been stable for a certain amount of time but the O2 temp is still to low for the computer to go into open loop.
Otherwise, the simplest solution is probably to call Ed Wright at Fastchips and just get one of his. You can ask to have them remove the EGR function while you're at it.
