327 large journal interchangable with a 350???

Car: 87 IROC L98
Engine: 588 Alcohol BBC
Transmission: Powerglide
Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
Yes. Both engines use a 4" bore. Some large journal 327 blocks have the same casting numbers as 350 blocks. A 350 is just a stroked 327. The shorter stroke can let the engine rev higher allowing you to build HP at a higher rpm. It won't have as much torque as a 350. Look at SuperStock entries. Many of the GM cars will use a 327 instead of a 350.
You'll need to use 327 pistons also with the shorter stroke 327 crank. Since the con rods are the same length, the wrist pin location on the piston is different.
