climate control vaccuum source
Need some help. Climate control defaults to defroster, no panel or heater vents, I know it's vacuum operated, suspect vacuum source cut off. Cruise control unit was removed and vacuum hose cut, is the hvac control tied into this? Also I see some small plastic 1/16 lines coming out of a harness, these were terminated also. Haven't got a clue to what these went to or even if they were a vacuum source to something. Gotta love those cut and chop guys, I know the hvac control was working when the cruise control was in the car, Thanks for your time and assistance.

The purple line on the harness that goes into the firewall near the heater hose, is the vacuum supply; the white one, is for the heater control valve.
The HVAC and the cruise both require a source of vacuum that doesn't go away when they throttle is opened (duh); so there's a vacuum accumulator and a check valve somewhere, that keep those 2 systems supplied with vacuum for some time after engine vacuum disappears. Sound like the hack that got to your car, hacked a little too much out of that whole system.
